  • Hello everyone,
    
    I´m new to this website and I would like to promote my website.
    It´s about skinning, you can find wallpapers/bootscreens/logonscreens/fonts etc..
    
    We´re always looking for permission from skinners to showcase some of their files on our website, Our forum needs a little more people registering but especially beiing active

  • I am veryy sorry for the absence of comments .
    The authors are doing their hard work and they are sharing them with us for free with no feedback , it is a shame!
    
    A solution for this general problem in the skinning community could be solved, if the visitors or members will be forced to leave a comment before they could be abble to download.
    I guess it is just a matter of a small script that will be performed when someone clicks the download link.

• 8. The Skinbase FAQ is wrong
  • as there have been a few people asking for help on downloading problems recently i had a look on what the Skinbase FAQ has to say on this topic.
    it suggests to use the "save target as" method. sorry but this is misleading and shows that the author has not tried on his own what he suggests. when you are not logged in, the "target" is not the desired skin, but a html page (the popup window).
    downloading problems are caused by the (rather unique) way this site handles downloads (via popup windows). "save target as" is not a solution at all.
    please do not point people with downloading problems to the FAQ.
